i've arrived

in liberia, to the m/v africa mercy, my new home for the next year. what didn't arrive was my luggage :( i found out last night it happened to two of my gateway classmates as well and it has been about 5 days for them to get theirs. hopefully, mine will make it as well.
i am finally excited! the anticipation grew as i knew we were getting close to the ship and when i saw my new home, i was overwhelmed and excited. we had a tour this morning and it is not as scary to find my way around as i expected. i've run into friends from a few years ago and friends from a few weeks ago so it is starting to feel like home already.
that's it for now, just a quick update.
pray for my luggage!

Pray for luggage. Right:

I keep asking that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the glorious Father, may give you the Spirit of wisdom and revelation, so that you may know him better. I pray also that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened in order that you may know the hope to which he has called you, the riches of his glorious inheritance in the saints, and his incomparably great power for us who believe.

How's that? Oh, hang on. Luggage. Right.

Please God look after Natalie's luggage and bring it back to her in one piece (or as many suitcases as she left with). Amen

Oh no, hope it turns up soon. What a nightmare - hope you cn borrow whatever you need in the mean-time. Let us know if you want anything from England! Glad you are there safely though. Am hoping even more now that we can join the ship in Tenerife rather than have the African airport experience! x

It was great to hear from you and I feel connected to your experience even more now that I am actually posting to your blog spot. It is not as scary as I thought either, kinda like your fear of getting around on the ship. I really do want to get to know more about life on the ship and the people of Africa, as well as your relationships with friends. I am thankful we got to meet a few of them before you left and that you have already caught up with some of them.

Linda & I spent all day Friday and Saturday morning in Kairos encounter through Gateway Ministries. It was a very refreshing time with the Lord and a time to heal some of the areas of the past which I had forgotten about. God gently nudges us along our journey if we are open to Him.

Well, gotta go for now...

Since this is my first blogging experience, please explain to me what the symbols below mean (alongside "OpenID")

I love you very much,
Dad

Miss you lots! Especially since I know you would have laughed at my experience interpreting for a different ( and I mean DIFFERENT) church last Sunday. I am so happy that you are finally there. I will pray for the safe arrival of your luggage :)
Love ya!
